In terms of time taken Raisu is definitely alot shorter than THK. Also Raisu has access to uber celestial skills which THK doesn't.

For Raisu, you need to know where to go, and you need to be able to protect Mhenlo and Togo. You should also protect the 2 NPCs that you have chosen, but I still made HM masters easily even when 1 of them is killed. I missed 1 shortcut.

For THK, it is easy provided you can protect the king well. If you over extend, the little guy can die very quickly in HM. But THK is extremely long winded and boring at times. I enjoy Raisu more over THK simply because it doesn't require so much of my time.

Anet probably does think of that.
Guildie was running people for 25k yesterday, made an absolute bomb xD

I don't understand how people die in THK, if you run way out of healing range into mursaat ele's you WILL die but apart from that it's hard. Whereas in Raisu, if that ele overextends and you can't get prot spirit on him in time he'll get splattered

It's all being with a group that knows what they're doing.

Not really: Raisu HM - 17:15. Group of people that mostly didn't know what they were doing. Our only warrior and our only ele didn't bother picking up their celestial skills.

Such a waste! I can understand the necros not picking up the celestial skill, but the warrior and the ele... boy.

Same. And in THK I very nearly forgot my armour wasn't infused, luckily I remembered just before I went 'monk lfg'. XD

today's Elusive Golemancer was a such a picnic I had to get all my toons through it. You get a sin to run to the quest giver, it's done in 10 min max. Then it's 6k Asuran rep (4500 for completing the quest, 1500 for the mission bounty). Completely impossible for the worst of pugs to ruin this one, though I either h&h'ed it or went with alliance mates.

I wonder what time PST they change all the bounties?

Quests change at 6 PM for me, and I'm GMT +2.
People tend to forget that you don't necessarily need to do every damn quest they throw at you, I don't do the mission quests at all cause I already got legendary guardian and I don't wanna complete that stuff again. On the contrary, killing bosses etc. encourages me to also vanquish the area cause you tend to wipe like 50% of the map before getting to the boss (Coldstone gogo!). Summary: These quests are just a bonus for doing stuff you normally wouldn't bother, but with the extra reward I have enough encouragement to get out there and do my thing ^^
And also, have you seen the teams getting formed? Haven't seen that in years =p

It starts to look like Rocktail was a fluke with an abnormally high reward to effort ratio. The rewards might just be random and completely unrelated to the difficulty of completing the task. I can hardly wait to see when a bounty of 35 coppers is set on Spindle Agonyvein's head and Abaddon's Mouth explodes with raging players who must repeatedly wade half an hour through hordes of monsters just to find out that Spindle is AWOL once again (those who miss the reference: one of the essential monk elites, Restore Condition, can only be captured from Spindle Agonyvein who is infamous for being one of the most frustrating boss in the game to find because of the extreme effort needed to reach her possible spawning points combined with a low probability of actually spawning for any given instance).

I remember this only all too well.

I'm inclined to agree that it's random, though. But then again, we've only just got the zquests, maybe things will change. There really isn't much to go on at this point.

I have a feeling with prophecies bosses they will always do what they did with the Coldstone quest and give us an option to kill one of two bosses that both spawn at the same point.

Oh, you'd be surprised man. I PUG-ed this one, and there was one warrior who had absolutely no idea what he/she was doing. At the mystical key part, I was doing the whole run - drop - run thing and telling everyone to just move forward into the second room, and was standing right next to me. I was getting a little worried, because sure enough, she grabbed the key from the ground when I dropped it the second time and proceeded to run around the room for a few minutes. She even tried to put it back in the mystic key holder that it had come from. Eventually after much screaming and party members dying I managed to get her to drop it and go stand in the corner so I could finish.

Talk about unbalanced rewards... Today's z quests for instance... RA giving the same amount of z coins as the DoA HM.... O_o

Edit: I love to see that there are 4 districts in DoA, btw. I love playing that area ^_^

the DOA HM quest took like 2 hours, including the ugly tooth guy in the end with a random PUG. RA quest+bonusses took like 40 min?

However, it is funny to see that ANET can just lure all their players to 1 area, no matter the reward.

The HM bonus coins should have been much more.
Protip: sneak around the side and pull each group seperately. Much easier that way.

I don't know, I've had some fairly impressive winning streaks in TA after coming up from RA...

Only if you're a warrior or elementalist, or maybe a monk. Everyone else's C-skills... kind of suck (at least for what Raisu requires you to do, which is kill lots of enemies fast).

The PvE missions are very easy but the rewards across the board are horrible in terms of Zaishen coins....

I'm just waiting for Nicholas to move so I can get some cool presents and actually enjoy "grinding" for them. I mean holy crap, you can either spend 30 minutes farming whatever he's collecting and do it once a week or you can do the same PvP Zaishen quest at least 10 times a day for the next year to get a couple 20 slot equipment bags... A-net's solution will to be of course to nerf Nicholas and make you hand in 3000 Grawl Necklaces for one present.. that will be balanced with Zaishen quests.

I was talking to one of the fans and she told me (a bit apologetically) that she was starting to find Guild Wars a little boring after putting over 1,000 hours into it. I was fairly amazed by that, since we built Guild Wars to be a game that people didn’t have to play like a second job, and yet clearly a lot of them still loved the game and the world enough that they wanted to invest a lot of time into it.
We didn't build GW to be played like a second job but we do expect you to spend at least 500 hours grinding Zaishen coins in order to get more storage space on your character, though.

/agreed most everybody in the interviews stated that all they do is build and play gw2, the exception is the gw live team. They have every reason to do this as they are using all of their free play time to perfect gw2 by playing it and finding places to improve, I personally would like to join in on this
